About Remarkable Practice

We are a business consultancy that works solely with the owners, partners and managers of accountancy firms. The team here is comprised of expert coaches, mentors and an office based support team.
We help accountants build better firms.

But what does this mean?
This means that as a business, we work closely with our accountancy firm clients and their teams in groups or 1-1 sessions to help them improve the results of the firm by improving the relationships with their team, their clients and their systems and processes.
The coaches here support our clients by helping them define a strategy, improve their workflow, build a pricing model, engage and motivate their team and create loyal clients.  Behind the scenes the support team create and deliver content for marketing, client care and operational activities.

We have our own purpose – Humanise the Numbers and our own vision, values and behavioural standards which frame everything we do and to which we refer to in our weekly team meeting. The graphic below sums it all up pretty well.

Why do we need you?

Remarkable Practice is growing and shifting it’s focus to provide a membership based sustainable business model.  This means delivering educational and professional development services to our clients that are focussed on group and cohort memberships and less 1-2-1 work.

To support this we are building and embedding systems and processes and need an organised, enthusiastic proactive individual with excellent attention to detail to help us with this.

Job Description

This is a varied role, working as part of a small and busy team. Full training will be given for all of these aspects if you aren't familiar with them - we are more interested in your natural skills, what you love doing and what kind of person you are!

To give you an idea the tasks involved could include:

  • Accurate data input and processing, including copying URLs and written content
  • Adding content to our websites for updating and publishing blogs, podcasts and events.
  • Organising filing systems and updating office databases including Hubspot CRM and Dropbox document storage
  • Scheduling office meetings between the team and or customers using Zoom or Microsoft Teams

You will be working with Sally and Kelly in the office.  We work collaboratively and are often spinning a few plates at any one time.  We are friendly, supportive and enjoy a laugh too!

Who are you?

You must be a friendly, reliable, collaborative and systems and processes person, who is task-orientated and works well with a checklist.  If you are known for being organised - this is what we need. If you are not known for being an organised person then this job won't suit you.

Please read our values and behaviours above. We live by these, so if you’re reading these and are pretty sure you can’t demonstrate these, the chances are we’re not right for you. If, on the other hand, you get excited about the propsect of doing worthwhile work, being worthy of notice and being wholehearted about everything you do, we’d love to hear from you! We’ll be testing for these values and behaviours when we speak to you.

As a minimum you must be confident in communicating effectively and accurately with a wide range of people, including customers, team members, senior management and suppliers (everyone we work with are very nice people so this isn’t as scary as it may sound!)

We need you to be proficient in administrative level MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

You must be willing to wear a few different hats as we are a small team and often will help each other to get particular projects completed.
