2. Humanise The Numbers podcast
It was great to have someone who is generally immersed in the digital space join thepodcast to talk about humanising the numbers. Dan Cockerton, Founder, Digital Accountancy Show, joined us recently, and it was a bit of a relief that, when challenged about whether it should be digital-first or human-first, Dan chose human-first.
He shares his insights on working with individual firms across the profession, as well as his own experience of starting up a new event space, one which had 600 attendees at the first event and more than 5,000 at the fifth. It shows you what's possible when you put your mind to it.
Dan shares something very personal during this podcast, something that shows how important goal setting is to the success of an individual and to the success of a firm.
This podcast is as human as it gets.
3. Insightful Further Reading
During his podcast, Dan mentions a book that had a profound effect on him and that has changed the way he thinks and the way he talks to himself.
Because of this book, he has made a conscious decision to change, not only the way hethinks, but the decisions he makes and the way he acts. We thought it was worth sharing.
By focusing on clear, positive self-talk and expressing our desires with intention, the book shows how effective communication can align us with our goals. It encourages readers to be mindful of the words they use, as they influence emotions, relationships, and outcomes in powerful ways.
